Bright Monday - April 13, 2026

On Monday, April 13th, Father Aleksey celebrated Bright Monday Liturgy with the Procession and blessing of the four corners of the church.

The Angel proclaimed You,

the crucified and buried Master.

He told the women, “Come, see the place where He lay!

He is risen as He said, for He is Almighty.”

We worship You, O only immortal One.

Have mercy on us, O Christ, the Giver of life!

Fr. Aleksey appears in the center of the frame. He has reached the bottom of the (three!) steps, and he's facing the right side of the frame as he walks in that direction. There's a young woman behind him at the tops of the steps, and she's holding a gold bowl filled with holy water.

Fr. Aleksey stands at the northwest corner of the church, and he's praying while holding a large prayer book in his left hand, and he's gesturing to make the sign of the cross with his right hand. A man and woman are also visible in the photo along with some of the neighborhood houses and cars.
